With the number of people and families affected by breast cancer, Professionals have jumped at the opportunity to help as many people in our communities as possible by raising awareness and of course vital funds to help the NBCF research treatments that we hope will one day lead to a cure. The statistics on breast cancer are shocking, with one in eight women being diagnosed in their lifetime, but one thing that is helping people survive is research. When the NBCF started 20 years ago, about 30% of women diagnosed with breast cancer passed away. This figure has now halved and there’s little doubt that this comes down to research and more knowledge about prevention, treatments and cures. Time is an important factor for anyone diagnosed with cancer, and our Group will do everything we can to help raise funds for researchers so that a cure can be found as quickly as possible, with NBCF hoping to reach the goal of ‘Zero deaths by 2030′ and beyond.
