You may have noticed new friendly faces behind our front desk. Recently we welcomed two Year 10 students to our team too complete one to two weeks of work experience in the Melton Real Estate industry.
Last year 67,818 Year 10 Victorian students were expected to leap into the working world to build upon their understanding of their desired career. As the community population rises, we believe assisting our youth with viable worldly experience is an imperative key to Melton’s substantial employment growth.
Lakeview Senior College student, Franceska-lee and Staughton Secondary College student Natalie were welcomed aboard, mentored by Georgia our Administrator.
Georgia is no stranger to Ryder’s work experience program, “My first encounter with Professionals Ryder Real Estate started when I was in year 10 looking for a work experience placement. I remember sitting in the school’s library, calling each real estate office. Ryder Real Estate was the only office that called me back, Jayson was very considerate and willing to help.
After my week with the team the opportunity didn’t stop there! I was given casual work throughout VCE, following my graduation I was offered a fulltime position which has built myself a career in the industry.”
On completion of Natalie & Franceska’s work experience the girls shared their views on their time with us.
“The very few things I will cherish through my week of work experience is the amazing staff that always put a smile on my face whatever the time is and how busy they may be. The professionals do an amazing job in listening and assisting there customers which is awesome. Work experience at the professionals is an experience that I will never forget. I have enjoyed myself so much that I don’t want to walk through the front door at home time. Throughout my week I have developed multiple new skills on the computer and I have no doubt that you have left me walking out the door with a greater knowledge.
I thoroughly like to thank Jayson and the whole team at professionals for the amazing opportunity for the week and also Georgia for assisting me throughout the whole week. I will truly miss you guys.” – Natalie.
“When calling the local Real Estate Agency’s, Professionals Ryder Real Estate was the first helpful business to offer me placement. During my two weeks I mostly enjoyed meeting all of the clients and hearing their personal stories. I have learnt many different administration skills, self-presentation, property management procedures and appropriate phone demeanour. After these two weeks I am intrigued by the rental sector of the business and my time with Ryder Real Estate has given me a better understanding of the industry and its roles. My outlook on Professionals has also grown as I have been accepted into a friendly, hardworking team.” – Franceska-lee.
