Step 1: Declutter
Decluttering your space makes it look tidy, and if you can’t bring yourself to dispose of the things you don’t really use you could consider hiring a storage unit or asking a family member or friend if they have any extra storage space.
Step 2: Street Appeal
Street appeal is very important as this is where potential buyers will make their first impression and possibly even their decision. Make sure your gardens are nice and trimmed, gutters are clean, and no weeds are visible, etc.
Step 3: Lighting
Make sure you make full use of the natural lighting coming into your home as it adds to the illusion of space. Ways you can brighten up your home include painting the ceiling white, using brighter bulbs, trimming trees outside your windows and get rid of your dark heavy curtains.
Step 4: Painting
A fresh coat of paint will do wonders around your home. Remember you are trying to appeal to a broad range of people, so nice neutral colours are a safe option as they are impersonal and will please a variety of people.
